The MA-F.I.A Spay It Forward Program focuses on reducing cat overpopulation & giving back to the community through compassionate, proactive care.
In addition to spaying and neutering the feral, abandoned, and adoptable cats in our care, we’re proud to offer our “Spay it Forward” program — a community outreach initiative providing essential veterinary services to cat owners in need.

Thanks to the generosity of two incredible donors, in January 2025 we launched funding for one fully covered spay or neuter procedure — including vaccinations — for a local cat in need each month. It’s our way of ensuring that every cat, whether rescued or owned, has the chance at a healthier, happier life.
Why Spay and Neuter?
Healthier Lives: Spayed and neutered cats live longer, healthier lives.
Disease Prevention: Spaying helps prevent uterine infections and breast tumors; neutering prevents testicular cancer and prostate problems.
Behavioral Benefits: Fixing your cat can reduce unwanted behaviors like howling, spraying, and roaming.
Population Control: Every surgery helps prevent the birth of unwanted litters, easing the burden on shelters and rescuers.
Whether you're helping community cats or looking after your own beloved pet, spaying and neutering saves lives.
Together, we can make a difference—one cat at a time.
